Sundays at Christ Church
We have three Sunday services: 9:00am, 10:30am and 6:30pm. Each has a different style.
If you are coming for the first time, please introduce yourself to one of the welcome team (green lanyards!) or a member of the staff team, as we’d love to meet you. If you have any questions the Connect Desk is always manned by someone who will try and answer your questions about anything in church life.
9:00 AM holy communion
This hour-long more traditional service is for people of all ages wanting relevant Bible teaching (the same theme as the 10.30am service), a safe space to meet God in a time honoured fashion, with some classic hymns and songs. All welcome with tea, coffee and refreshments served between the services when prayer is always available.
A 75 minute contemporary service, featuring lively and relevant Bible teaching on contemporary issues, dynamic worship & Holy Communion once a month. Singing is led by our band and fuses new songs from the likes of Worship Central, New Wine and Hillsong, with some older classics/hymns. A full range of children’s & youth activities is available most weeks and occasionally we have all-age (4/5 parades a year) worship services which are about an hour long. Again prayer ministry is always be available for those who would like it.
After the 9.00am service and before the 10.30 starts everyone is invited to chat over tea and coffee.
Recordings of all sermon/talks from the 10.30am services can be found here
This service would have the aim of stirring up a hunger for the presence of God in our lives. It shares the same values of our morning services with worship, teaching and prayer ministry, but in a more informal and relaxed atmosphere.
